And I woke up again with dubious questions in my head. If tomorrow your best friend, who is like a piece of you, asks you to lend him 10,000 euros to save his life, would you do it? I’m sure you do. Obviously, we start from the premise that you have the 10,000 or that you are at least eligible for a loan for that amount.
If, while reading, you are thinking twice about what you would do, well…you are not thinking about the right person. Choose someone else, maybe a close relative. If you have no one in your life for whom you would happily get into debt just to save her/his life, find such a person for your life. But that’s not the point.
The point is:
What if you were your best friend? What if you asked yourself? Would you give it to yourself? Not because you were sick, but because you wanted to save your own life. From the absurdity. That absurdity that makes you do every day something else other than what you dream of. The one that makes you go to a job you hate while complaining that you want to do something else with your life. Except you don’t do.
What if you were your best friend? Would you give yourself 10,000 euros to follow your dream?
