Valentine’s Day struggle

Look, is coming again this year. What do you mean who? Valentine’s Day.

For me, it’s just another day on the calendar day. If I could get any material benefits from it, I would embrace it instantly. I mean, if they were to gave me time off from the company (now no longer the case, but you get the point) or if I got a bonus cause it’s February 14th, I’d argue loud and clear to love each other more on the 14th. As this is not the case, I celebrate it as any other day, i.e., with as much love as on the 13th, as on the 15th.

Judging by these aspects, I realize that the hysterical people of this February 14 must have some benefit that I have not yet learned about. Maybe they get time off from their company. Or they get paid? They say no. It’s just an opportunity to receive flowers. And declarations of love. And chocolates. Ah, and romantic dinners? And love-sex if they were good all year and didn’t ask for it? Mhmmm…goodies!

Well… and why so much enthusiasm? Don’t you get all that on 13? No? Not even on 15? Maybe in April? No? Fuck! Then you should really celebrate! If this is the only time of the year when you give each other declarations of love, chocolates, gifts, romantic dinners, and love-sex, by all means, go ahead! Why are you still here reading? Go, go, go!

Ah, but, lo and behold, there are haters on the other side. Who recognizes this international holiday but are also fighting it with all their power. Seriously? You have nothing better to do than fight this? You love her the rest of the time, but on the 14th, you refuse. She is not to touch you on the 14th! Okay, bro, if you don’t want to get laid on the 14th, don’t. But it’s your loss, sucker!

Remain in the middle, in inexplicable depressions, those alone on the 14th, and stumble every step of the way on colorful balloons and hearts that two Chinese diligently have sewn on, in a boat, a crooked I love you. So they start to suffer. Cause no one brings him (her) hearts sewn with white thread. On the 13th, he (she) was happy single, without hearts and lies sewn with white thread; on the 15th, it will no longer be a problem, but on the 14th, what do you think? It’s at least the end of the earth. Until the 15th, of course, when the trees will stand again.

I liked the flowers received on a Thursday without special significance, the surprise cheesecake on an anonymous Tuesday, the words and smiles of every day. And on the 14th, I will ask him just as kindly, as I always do: “What do you want to eat? Love? ”- my own adaptation after that ad with “ What do you want to eat, love?
