Love-hate or… beloved enemy

I think it was also a movie… “In bed with the enemy” or something like that. I haven’t seen that one. But I see it everywhere around in real life. In which you can swear that the two had taken a vow to hunt each other, for better or for worse, until death do them part.

How do you recognize them? They are more quarrelsome than reconciled. More unhappy than happy. Longer separated than together. She always has a strangled voice when you call her. Either from fury or crying. Or effort. Cause she is packing. Again. “This time, it’s really over! I’m leaving you for good, asshole! ” Until next time. He is mostly absent. Even when he’s there. “She’s crazy, bro!” They enable each other. They don’t give up the fight, but they also don’t give each other up.

They seemed funny for a while, even when they were fighting. And especially when they made up. Wild love, you said to yourself, looking at them.

Now you look at them and wonder why they got together. I wonder what they didn’t forgive.

Swear with his hand on his heart and on a red ribbon who never… Good for you! I put it down. Full of shame, I have to admit that I also played the leading role in this kind of stupid movie many years ago. Until I hit the director on the head with the clapperboard and ran away from the set before it turned into a longer and worse series than Young and Restless. Never again, I said to myself!

Wise men say there is a fine line between love and hate. Whose violation I say can be erased only with forgiveness. Not forgetfulness. If you don’t have it, it’s better to go on with your life rather than hate the one you love. Rather than stay with your beloved enemy. Cause that’s what you think. That the one who was once your best friend is now the enemy. When, in fact, you are the enemy. Your own enemy. But you should be the best friend. Also yours.

A line so thin you don’t even realize it when you step on it. You. He. Both. One at a time or together. Playing and trampling on your hearts. Year after year! Come on, take 700! Sound … set! Camera … set! Action! Cut! Take 701! Or better not. Your choice!
