If you keep asking for permission, you won’t get do anything

One sunny day, after I argued with the Waze lady a few times about the directions, I managed to reach my destination.

As usual, I find the only parking spot within a radius of 200 meters, a bit squeaky and quite confusing regarding the legality of parking there, but I do not stop to think too much. When I was spinning more gracefully the steering wheel, out of the next building comes a lady in her 40s, beautiful, thin, and fiery, the kind you look into her eyes, and you know there is no point in messing with her.

She stares at me with eye contact and everything, so I stop mixing in gasoline; I look at her with my most beautiful smile, the one that says I know it’s not allowed what I’m doing right now, but look how nice I am, and please make an exception…

– Hello, is this your spot? Am I not allowed to park here?

– Why wouldn’t you? Park wherever you want!

– Ah, I saw you speeding towards me and looking into my eyes as if you were prepared to tell me something, so I thought you were coming to tell me that the parking space is reserved.

– No, darling, I was looking at you cause you are very pretty; you have deer eyes. And know that if you keep asking for permission right and left, you won’t get to do anything in this life.

She went on her way; I was left with the steering wheel in my hand and a big smile on my face, wondering where do all these wise people come from right into my life; and also with the regret that I didn’t get to tell her she’s beautiful too. When I got myself back together, I couldn’t figure out where she went… or maybe she wasn’t even real…?
