Poems

Gamma rays

Him, alone, with his bare hands.
Me, surrounded by an army of walls.

He snuck in and took my heart by surprise
I haven’t even gotten a chance to arm myself
The strategy of a brave warrior, I thought
He veiled me in deep looks, in waves and rays of sunshine
He plotted with the sand to keep me still
And he attacked. One more time! And one more time!

Poems

A heart

A two-legged heart was walking on her way
She was warming herself in the sun, smiling hurriedly
A gust of wind knocked her to the ground

Poems

The hidden candies on the top shelf

I don’t even know anymore how you’re supposed to look like.
I’ve painted you so many times in my head,
but with each sunrise
you got stubborn to take another shape.

But I know you must have gentle eyes
which go dark at hard
and they light up at too much good

Poems

Longing for flying

How to feel longing for flying
When you haven’t even been made with wings?
How to feel longing for the sea
When you never even sunk into it?
How to feel longing for him
When you haven’t even met him yet?

Poems

A word

Unspoken words are best heard.
From the second the word left the mouth,
He should be chased, surrounded and summoned to surrender!
Before he reaches the target.

Poems

Opened

I kept him locked up
I would open it from time to time
In the night
And I looked inside in amazement.
There was light there
And darkness

Thoughts

The word that does not exist

A woman who buries her husband is called a widow; a man left without a wife, a widower. A child without parents is an orphan. For parents who are left behind by a child who left too soon, there is no word… and there shouldn’t be one. That’s how awful the loss is ”- it’s an approximate quote from the movie I love so much that I wish I were blessed with the grace of writing the script – Demolition. I then found the quote on the Internet as being from the book An Orphan’s Tale.
