You can say NO!

Once upon a time…There was a time, long ago, when NO was NOT an option. At least not in my head. How can I refuse to help? I was giving away pieces of myself like a grocery store. On credit. Cause I didn’t even have all the pieces. But I gave them away, and then I had to get them somehow.

But I say it was good even so. Cause if I had to get these pieces of myself that I didn’t have, but I had just promised them, then I would hurry to find them so that I could stick them to myself. And maybe that’s how I got completed faster. But it cost me a lot. Until one day when I learned to say NO. I’ve written about this here before. Well, since then, I only give if I have and if I want.

One day, on a beautiful island, a Greek woman made my day from this perspective. Both bitter and adorably funny, with what is known to this day, to the amusement of those close to him: “You want it or not?

As we decided to rent a car to visit the island, we booked a car model, we paid, and the next day we would pick up the car from the company.

The next day we present ourselves with enthusiasm in our arms, when, what to see? The male dealer from the day before had turned into a fiery female dealer, cutting and hanging left and right. She explained to us in English without bothering to hide her Greek accent as other people try to, that deal-deal, but the car booked by us was given to someone else and that she could only give us a smaller and not so fancy one.

– You want it or not? she says proudly.

– What can I say?

– You can say NO! she says, smiling.

Yes, bro, you can say NO!
